Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have discovered a glitch that allows them to place gyroids in amusing and unexpected scenarios. By exploiting this glitch, players can make gyroids clip through furniture, leading to creative setups like gyroid nurseries or even a gyroid seemingly “cooking” inside a burning stove.
This quirky trend showcases the community’s ingenuity and adds a new layer of fun to the beloved game.

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has manipulated a glitch involving gyroids in order to place one in a precarious situation in their home. There seems to be an interesting trend of players exploiting this particular Animal Crossing: New Horizons glitch, which at least one player has used to light their gyroid on fire perpetually.
Inspired by Japanese haniwa, gyroids date back to the series” early days. They mysteriously spawn underground, and players can use shovels to dig up gyroids in Animal Crossing and then decorate their homes and islands with them, where they will gyrate around in different ways and make their own sounds, some of which can be timed to music playing within gamers” digital homes. In New Horizons, special gyroids will also collect bells from players to fund community projects like bridges and other landmarks.

An Animal Crossing fan has created one of the newest and cutest forms of Gyroids, the Squeakoid, out of clay, delighting fellow players.
However, players have recently begun to place Animal Crossing: New Horizons” gyroids in interesting situations inside by exploiting a certain glitch that allows them to clip through furniture items. Some players have used the glitch to construct entire gyroids baby nurseries by placing them in high chairs, baby beds and strollers, or turn them into unofficial pets by putting them snugly into pet beds. Reddit user yogi_medic_momma took a more violent approach, however, by making one gyroid spend its time inside a lit wood-burning stove. As if that weren”t enough, the player also added a steam effect to the scene to make it appear as though the gyroid was burning, or at the very least, cooking inside the stove.
Gyroids Can Clip Through Furniture In Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The process of getting a gyroid to clip through furniture is actually relatively simple. Players simply have to mount a gyroid on the wall of a room and place a piece of furniture in the same space, but on the floor. These two steps can be done in either order and can be used with any of the 36 gyroids in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but the game doesn”t recognize that two objects are taking up the same space, which can result in some humorous visuals and scenarios, intentional or otherwise.Close
Even without exploiting the clipping glitch, gyroids are a beloved part of the Animal Crossing games. Players have found plenty of fun ways to show them off, such as one player who used a gyroid to recreate an iconic SpongeBob SquarePants scene in New Horizons.
