What”s strange is the fact that this powerful muzzle attachment was secretly added as part of the update, not being mentioned in the Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes.

The new Season 5 update marked the debut of a plethora of interesting stuff in the game, ranging from new weapons to aftermarket parts like the JAK Widemouth in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In a new post on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 subreddit, user TAZfromTilray showcases how powerful the new attachment is. The user starts off by using the Static-HV Submachine Gun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the newly added weapon which has been dominating the meta, without using the muzzle altogether. In the firing range, despite trying to control the recoil, they managed to only get an accuracy of about 35%. However, upon equipping the Quartermaster Suppressor, the accuracy jumps to a staggering 70%, which is quite commendable for any muzzle in the game. Several other posts echoed similar sentiments on the subreddit.

Quartermaster Supressor”s Future in Call of Duty: Warzone Seems Unclear

While the Quartermaster Suppressor is definitely something fans should try out, it is not clear what the fate of this attachment will be. Firstly, the fact that this attachment wasn”t mentioned in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 patch notes is something that is making players believe that it was accidentally released. While it could be possible that it was just missed from the patch notes, the fact that it is available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ranked mode is something that is even stranger. Suppressors aren”t allowed in ranked, and it seems like the developers have released it in that mode by mistake.Close

Even if the Quartermaster Suppressor”s release in the game was planned, at this point two things seem quite imminent. Firstly, the suppressor will in all likelihood be removed from ranked, as the community has been quite unhappy with how unbalanced the competitive aspects of the game have become. Secondly, a nerf is also very likely on the way considering its impact on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 meta. Players are already drawing parallels with other widely used options such as the ZEHMN 35 Compensated Flash Hider and VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor, and the Quartermaster Suppressor seems to have an edge. How long the Quartermaster Suppressor”s dominance lasts is something that remains to be seen.
